something old,something new

a little look at the past and a cheeky wink in the direction of the future; mood board and samples for some Frank Auerbach inspired knitwear, and one of my degree show pieces,

I'm getting interested in restriction in knit again.... perhaps it is an autumnal influence, people.the time has come to start wrapping our bodies up in texture and bulk, let us look to knitwear to guide us through these chilly times ahead.be bold and brave with those knits.....

Happy Birthday Bauhaus!

I had the lovely job of coordinating the Fashion presentation for the fabulous Cooperative designs this London Fashion Week, Next year is the Bauhaus' birthday, which inspired this season's knitwear collection.

here are a few shots of the Bauhaus Tea Party table i set up for the event, the chess piece cupcakes were made by the very talented lily vanilli the Spring Sumer 10 collection was shown on mannequins placed on a giant chessboard complete with giant bauhaus chess pieces, film and electronic german band! Quite the affair!

Whilst Craig Lawrence's Spring/Summer 10 collection was as exciting and thrilling as ever...this post is dedicated to expressing a well deserved squeal of excitement and genuine love for his hangers....well done Craig!!

my favourite dress

having finished London Fashion Week i decided i would post up what is possibly my favourite item of clothing i have come accross to date before i put up next seasons wonders....!

so here we are! This is an unwearable dress shown in the Centre Pompidou a paris for their collection focussing on female artists... it is on a timer and lights up at intervals....

fifi and lola were lucky enough to go on a trip this summer! paris oozes style from every alley way...the area surrounding le centre pompidou is not only fun and inspiring, but packed full of vintage shops and boutique shops and designers...here are a fewbits and pieces that caught my eye, note fifi's outfit flying the french flag colours.... love lola x x
